The diagram of 27 Protein Folding Shape code (PFSC): Three blocks represent three regions of pitch distance; the nine vectors in each block represent the nine folding shape patterns; each vector is simultaneously represented by a letter, a folding shape pattern and an arrow. The vector characteristic is represented by an arrow line, which the initial and terminal points represent the N- and C-termini for the PFSC vector respectively. The "α", "β" or "*"at each end of vector indicates the folding features similar to a-helix, b-strand or random coil respectively.
